COVID-19 Economic Development Business Assistance Grants
The Glenn County Planning and Community Development Services Agency (PCDSA) is pleased to announce a new round of funding for COVID-19 Business Assistance Grants is available and invites small business owners impacted by the pandemic to apply. All jurisdictions within the County of Glenn (the City of Willows, the City of Orland and the unincorporated areas) are eligible for applying.

PAROLE DENIED!
In 1998, Inmate Gerardo Valenzuela beat Ventura Ruiz to death with a hammer and then attempted to do the same to Efrain Garcia. In 1999, he was convicted of Second Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree murder for his crimes. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.
On January 14th 2022 a parole hearing was held for Inmate Valenzuela. Deputy District Attorney Michael Coffey attended the hearing on behalf of the People of Glenn County to oppose his release. After a hearing that lasted more than 3 hours, the parole board determined that Inmate Valenzuela continues to pose an unreasonable risk to the public and denied his parole for 3 years.

AS HEARD IN COURT DECEMBER 17, 2021
PEOPLE V. STEPHEN CRAIG GREEN - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 4532(b)(1), Escape. Defendant was sentenced to 16 months state prison. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sheldon.
AS HEARD IN COURT DECEMBER 10, 2021
PEOPLE V. REUBEN BARBA - Defendant was previously convicted of felony violation of Penal Code sections 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was found in violation of probation for the 1st time. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years prison. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Moize.
Glenn County Board of Supervisors Adopt New Supervisorial District Boundaries
On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Glenn County Board of Supervisors approved new supervisorial district boundaries.

PEOPLE V. DAVID JOHN CARLILE - Defendant was convicted of a Penal Code violation of 314.1, Indecent Exposure with a Prior Offense. Defendant was sentenced to 32 months prison. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Alves.
PUBLIC NOTICE GLENN COUNTY AIRPORTS DBE GOAL
Glenn County hereby announces its proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 18.2%17.8% for FAA-funded contracts/agreements. The proposed goal pertains to federal fiscal years 2022 through 2024 (10/1/2021 - 9/30/2024). A teleconference will be held for the purpose of consulting with stakeholders to obtain information relevant to the goal-setting process. This meeting is not mandatory for DBE participation on projects at Glenn County Airports.
