Orland, CA – On Friday, June 30th, 2023, deputies at the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person, Christian Malone, age 21 of Marysville, California. Deputies identified a backpack belonging to Malone on June 29, 2023, located by the Tehama Colusa Canal Authority in the canal at County Road F and County Road 25. Deputies, members of the Glenn County Search and Rescue, and California Highway Patrol air operations conducted a search of the area on foot, in vehicles, and by air over the weekend. On Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, Malone was located in the Tehama Colusa Canal deceased. This incident is under investigation. No immediate signs of foul play. An autopsy is being conducted to determine cause of death. No further details are available at this time.
