Cybersecurity is a critical piece of all businesses, especially small businesses. Most business owners do not understand Cybersecurity, let alone new technologies to keep their businesses safe from cyber threats. During this webinar, we will provide some definitions to help you understand what cybersecurity is, why cybersecurity is important for small businesses, and review data security and consumer privacy, which small businesses may be legally required to follow.  Focus will also include various types of cyber-attacks, ways of protecting your small business from cyber threats (cyber defense), strategies and resources for developing and implementing cybersecurity plans, frameworks, policies and contacts related to cybercrime reporting, Federal agencies,  and related resources to use in meeting your cybersecurity needs.

Webinar #2:  Butte College SBDC COVID-19 Business Re-opening Strategies Webinar

Are you a business that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic? Are you ready to reopen and work on the success of your business in 2021? Are you uncertain as to whether or not you can reopen or where to begin?  This webinar will prepare you for the uncertainties and processes needed to recover from the pandemic safely and successfully.  Topics covered will range from business re-opening assessments and developing a plan, to looking at current business strategies, and how pivoting your business might help in meeting the new demands placed on businesses due to the pandemic.  Discussions will also include understanding your cash flow, financial strength, profitability, opportunities relating to re-opening, and looking at whether or not you are ready to handle the change in your business strategies.  At the end of this training you will understand obstacles, if any, to re-opening, how to develop your plan, and laws regulating your re-opening efforts.
