Glenn County COVID-19 Data Dashboard Transition

Glenn County, CA – Effective October 31, 2022, Glenn County Public Health will transition the local COVID-19 Data Dashboards to align with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data systems. On October 17, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the COVID-19 State of Emergency will end on February 28, 2023. As state and local COVID-19 response efforts shift to rely on the current infrastructure and tools in place, Glenn County Public Health will transition to CDPH’s tools for COVID-19 monitoring and prevention efforts.

GLENN COUNTY – On June 10, 2022 Glenn County Board of Supervisor, District 5, Ken Hahn, announced his resignation. Therefore, the District 5 seat is currently vacant and the California Governor, on behalf of the County of Glenn, is seeking applicants to fill the vacancy. District 5 represents the most eastern portion of Glenn County. District 5 includes the areas of Capay, Hamilton City, Ordbend, Bayliss, Glenn, Butte City and Afton.

GLENN COUNTY – On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the County of Glenn Board of Supervisors took action to amend County Code 2.01.010 Regular Meetings to allow the Board to adopt by resolution the time and place of regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors.

AS HEARD IN COURT OCTOBER 14, 2022

PEOPLE V. STEVEN BUTLER - Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon and three misdemeanor counts of 273.6, Violation of Restraining Order and was found in violation of probation for the 7th time. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years prison and probation was terminated. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Van Eck.

November 8, 2022 General Election Vote By Mail Ballots

GLENN COUNTY, CA - Due to Assembly Bill 37, which made permanent the requirement that counties mail ballots to every active registered voter for all elections, all voters will receive a Vote By Mail ballot for the November 8, 2022 General Election. Voters may return their ballots by mail, in a secure drop box, or to a Polling Place on election day. In addition, the elections office will be open for early voting, issuing replacement ballots, and additional services. If you go to a Polling Place, you may have to wait in line.
