PEOPLE v. FRED, THOMAS - Defendant was convicted by a jury on felony violations of Penal Code Section 288(a), Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a Child Under 14 Years Old on 2 separate counts, three violations of Penal Code Section 667.5(b), Prior Prison Commitments, felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(a), Corporal Injury on Spouse, and a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 273a(a), Child Endangerment. Defendant was sentenced to 12 years in state prison. This case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Detective Blair, Deputy Alves, Deputy Ramirez, and Deputy Owens, and victim witness advocates Troughton and Pinedo. 


PEOPLE v. HERNANDEZ, STEVEN - Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 422, Criminal Threats. Defendant was sentenced to 106 days in county jail, 3 years formal probation and 52 week batterer's treatment program. This case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Thompson.

 

PEOPLE v. ALLEN, JAMES - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 25400(a)(2), Carrying Concealed Firearm on Person. Defendant was sentenced to 100 days in county jail and 3 years formal probation. This case was prosecuted by DDA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Cessna, Sergeant Johnson, and Chief Tolle.

 

PEOPLE v. HOLLIS, CASEY - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 21310, Possession of a Dirk or Dagger. Defendant was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, 3 years formal probation and drug court. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Simpson.

 

PEOPLE v. PORTER, FREDDIE - Defendant was convicted of felony violations of Penal Code sections 422, Criminal Threats, 273a(a), Child Endangerment and a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 243(e)(1), Battery on a Domestic Relationship. Defendant was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, 3 years formal probation and 52 week batterer's treatment program. This case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Thompson.

 

PEOPLE v. GARCIA, PATRICIA - Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 148(a)(1), Resist Obstruct Delay a Peace Officer. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, 3 years court probation. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Ayres.

 

PEOPLE v. SUMAHIT, RYAN - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 21810, Possession of Metal Knuckles. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 1st time. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days in county jail, 3 years formal probation and drug court. This case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon.

 

PEOPLE v. TORRES, JR., RAMIRO - Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 368(b)(1), Elder Abuse with Injury. Defendant was found in violation of probation (PRCS) for the 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days in county jail and PRCS is reinstated. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Van Eck.

 

PEOPLE v. LEWIS-WOODS, JERRIANNE - Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Welfare and Institutions Code section 10980(g)(2), Welfare Fraud. Defendant was sentenced to 90 days suspended upon successful completion of probation, 3 years court probation and the full restitution of $5,621 was paid in full to the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. This case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Health and Human Services Agency Special Investigations Unit Investigator McClain.
