AS HEARD IN COURT ON JANUARY 27, 2017

People v. Urrutia, Michele- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 646.9, Stalking with Threat. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years State Prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputies Corbin, Sheldon, Loftin, Owens, Holley, Rasmussen, and Perry, Glenn County DA Investigator Browning, and Victim Witness Advocate Pinedo.

AS HEARD IN COURT ON JANUARY 20, 2017

People v. Valdez, Billy- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 236, False Imprisonment with Violence, and Penal Code section 12022.7(e), Great Bodily Injury during Domestic Violence on Spouse. Defendant was sentenced to 6 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Willows Police Department Sgt. Stover and Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sheldon. 

AS HEARD IN COURT ON JANUARY 13, 2017

PEOPLE v. GARZA, JAIME- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(f)(2), Corporal Injury to the Mother of Child with a Prior Domestic Violence Conviction. Defendant was sentenced to 4 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Willows Police Department Officers Thompson and Edgington.

AS HEARD IN COURT ON JANUARY 6, 2017

PEOPLE v. LABLUE, TANYA- Defendant was previously convicted of felony violations of Penal Code Section 459, First Degree Burglary, Welfare and Institutions Code 10980(c)(2) Obtain Public Aid by Misrepresentation, and Penal Code Section 118(a) Perjury. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the eleventh time and probation was terminated.  Defendant was sentenced to 5 years in state prison and ordered to pay restitution of $6,478. The cases were prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Health and Human Services Agency Welfare Fraud Investigator McClain and Orland Police Department Officer Carmon. 

AS HEARD IN COURT ON DECEMBER 16, 2016

PEOPLE v. WARREN- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Health and Safety Code section 11379(a), Transportation of Methamphetamine, Health and Safety Code section 11366(a), Maintaining a Place for Sales of Methamphetamine, Penal Code section 459(a), 2nd Degree Commercial Burglary, a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 148(a)(1), Resist/Obstruct/Delay a Peace Officer, and violations of probation. Defendant was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months in state prison for all seven cases. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officers Perry, Teague, Moize, and Van Eck, Orland Police Department Officer Fullmore, Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Melgarejo, and GLINTF Agents Cushman and Tharp. 

AS HEARD IN COURT ON DECEMBER 9, 2016

PEOPLE v. ANTONIO ROA - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(a), Corporal Injury on Former Cohabitant. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years in state prison.  The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Detective Knight and Deputy Bauer and Orland Police Department Officers Simpson and Cessna.

Today, November 23, 2016, Dwayne R. Stewart, District Attorney, adds Ruby S. Neumann as a permanent Deputy District Attorney II to his team. Mr. Stewart thanks Ms. Neumann for her hard work during these past two years and congratulates her on becoming the office’s newest permanent employee.  Ms. Neumann is proud to be the first Punjabi Deputy working for Glenn County and is looking forward to serving this community for many years to come.
