If you have an urgent need for access to cooling this Sunday when temperatures exceed 110, please call Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 530-934-6431 and the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office may be opened for limited access for cooling.
Other tips for staying cool at home:
Use fans.
Place a bucket of ice in front of the fan to cool the air.
Open windows to cool your home overnight and in the early morning. Shut the windows and close the blinds to keep the temperature down during the day.
Take cool showers or baths.
Place a towel in cold water and use it to cool your body.
Drink plenty of cool water to stay hydrated and avoid caffeine and alcohol.
Keep your pets cool and hydrated too!
