On July 7th, 2023, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher announced Christine Zoppi, Director of Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), as the recipient of the prestigious Assembly District 3 Woman of the Year 2023 Award in recognition of her exceptional contributions and achievements in Glenn County.
The Valley-Wide Mosquito Abatement District roughly covers 420 square miles (basically the valley floor of Glenn County). It excludes the already existing Glenn County Mosquito and Vector Control District, the Rice Pest Abatement District #1, Hamilton City Community Service District (currently served by the Butte County MVCD) and the unincorporated part of Glenn County to the west of the Tehama Colusa Canal and everything west of County Road D were the Tehama Colusa Canal crosses.
The Valley-Wide Mosquito Abatement District covers the valley floor of Glenn County except for the Rice Pest Abatement District south of Willows and the Hamilton City Community Service District.
PEOPLE V. STEVEN DEAN MIDDLETON - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 666.5(a), Automobile Theft with a Prior Auto Theft. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years prison. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Pinedo.
