This program provides medical care and rehabilitation for children up to age 21 whose families earn less than $40,000 a year, and who have a serious qualifying medical condition.

County CCS staff works with the families of all Glenn County children who are referred to CCS, to determine if they are financially and residentially eligible for the program. In conjunction with the State CCS staff in Sacramento, Glenn CCS staff case-manages the approximately 150 children enrolled in CCS. They educate families, local school personnel, and medical providers about the CCS program; and assist children and families in obtaining the specialized pediatric medical care authorized by CCS. CCS staff also works closely with the local special education programs to insure that eligible children receive physical and occupational therapy through the CCS Medical Therapy Program.
